I am not a critic. My goal here is to write about films to learn from them for my future creations. I’m going to try my best to focus on the positives over the negatives. Not out of some belief that talking badly about art is wrong, I just think focusing on the positive is more productive. Cynicism and negativity often feel like the paths of least resistance. I believe more can be gleaned by focusing on the positive. I’m sure I’ll indulge in negativity occasionally, but my hope at the outset is to highlight the good more than the bad.
